Cylindrical shaped Dremel Engraving Cutter (1.6mm) for detailed carving and engraving applications. The Dremel Engraving Cutter 1.6mm (109) is made of high-grade steel for use on wood, plastic, leather, soft metals & rubber. For use with all Dremel high-speed rotary tools, the Dremel Engraving Cutter 1.6mm (109) works well for detailed material removal in applications shaping, carving, engraving, hollowing, grooving, slotting, inlaying, making tapered holes, or freehand routing. The cylinder shape of the Engraving Cutter allows for deep removal of material, cuts flat areas, round edges and makes stop cuts and V-cuts. The accessory tip makes flat bottom slots and grooves, flat side cuts, and makes V-cuts when held at 45-degrees. Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact).
