Product Description

  1. Make sure that there is approximately 2” - 2 ¾” of space between the post and the gate. Adjust the gate hinges if necessary.
  2. Mount the latch pin assembly onto the gate a little above center. Position this assembly so that there is one bolt above and one bolt below the horizontal gate tube. Refer to the drawing below.
  3. Close the gate and then mount the latch to the post using wood screws or other hardware (not provided). To deter-mine the correct mounting height, line it up with latch pin.
  4. If necessary, slide the latch pin up or down the gate tube to make any further adjustments. The gate hinges may also be moved up or down for height adjustment.
  5. The included padlock may be inserted between the gate latch and latch pin assemblies if desired.
  • NOTE: For 1 ⅝” gate tubes, use the two shims provided inside the latch pin assembly.
