Installation (Replacement) Instructions

Which Size to Choose or Replace

3” (Center to Center) length is the most popular size for bar pulls, cup pulls and handles. If you are replacing existing hardware, then measure the actual distance from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole for your mounting length. You can choose the color or style you desire; however, the holes must line up if you are replacing existing hardware. If you are putting on hardware for the first time, then it is a personal preference on the size you desire. Generally, the bigger the cabinet drawer or door, the longer you will want the hardware to be.

Locate & Mark

Most cabinet makers will locate the mounting of hardware approximately 3"- 4" below the top of the non-hinged corner on base cabinets, or the lower non-hinged corner on wall cabinets. You can use the Swiss Kelly template to help easily locate and mark the holes. The template comes with the most popular sizes in metric and U.S. standard inches. These are just basic guidelines. Your hardware can be mounted in a different desired location.

Drill & Install

When drilling the hole for a knob, handle or pull, a 3/16" hole is recommended for most styles. See mounting instructions for your hardware before drilling.
