Floating Shelf Bracket Instructions
Our brackets are used for hundreds of different uses, making it very difficult to provide a comprehensive installation guide.
- Our Floating Shelf Brackets have a 1.5″ wide flat bracket with a 16” length. The wood shelf you purchase needs to be over 1.5″ thick to make the bracket invisible.
- Shelves may be solid wood (with holes drilled for poles), or hollow construction with a 3/4 “ gap.
Wall Mounting
- It is best to mount one of the mounting holes to a stud. We recommend using a stud finder and mark the studs in the area of your shelf. When you begin locating the studs, mark them on the wall with a pencil.
- Drill one of the supplied screws through the bracket into the stud.
- Level the shelf bracket and mark the remaining three screws holes on the wall.
- Drill the three remaining holes using a 5/16” drill bit
- Insert the anchor
- Now mount the shelf bracket to the wall using the supplied screws.
Drilling holes in your shelf
- Mount shelf bracket to the wall as described above
- Place the shelf on top of the two protruding poles in the position you would like to mount the shelf.
- Mark the center of the poles onto your shelf. The two poles are 13” apart from each other.
- We recommend using a 13/16” or 20mm drill bit and a drill press to drill the holes for your shelves. Drill into the shelf to a depth of 6.5” long to accommodate the 6” poles.
- Slide the shelf onto the two poles protruding from the wall. Construction adhesive can be applied if this is a permanent fixture.
