The INTERTOOL Splitting Axe HT-0293 is sharp with a fully polished finish and excellent for hewing and splitting timber. The durable, heavy-duty 3 pound head is made of high-quality, wear-resistant carbon steel and coated in anti-corrosive material. The fiberglass haft is lightweight and designed for comfortability with each swing thanks to its curved design. The handle includes rubber inserts to eliminate hands from slipping, under all conditions. The natural, ergonomic grip absorbs each impact and evenly distributes vibration to reduce shock. The 24 inch haft grants balanced control and power to each strike. Handle allows for one or two handed strokes. Bright Red contrasted with Black coloring helps locate the axe quickly even in tall grass or underbrush. The end of the grip features a hole for simple storing.
