This square is the perfect choice for common carpentry tasks such as gauging depth, scribing lines for ripping material, mitering, and drawing notches. The blade is made from stainless steel and includes precision-etched gradations in both US and metric units that are accurate to within .001 in. The handle holds a hardened removable scribe for marking surfaces as you work, and its impact-resistant acrylic vial outperforms less durable tube-type vials.
