SELF DRILLING SCREWS PHILLIPS DRIVE COUNTER SUNK
- Sheet metal screws have a pointed end and widely spaced threads. They're self-starting in thin sheet metal, but in thicker materials a drilled hole is recommended.
- The 410 stainless steel self-drilling screw with plain finish has a wafer head and a Phillips drive. The 410 stainless steel material offers high strength and hardness ratings, and resists corrosion in mild environments. The material is magnetic. The wafer head has a flat top, a 70-degree cone-shaped bearing surface, and a small slope between the top and the bearing surface that helps create a flush fit. The Phillips drive has an x-shaped slot that accepts a Phillips driver and is designed to allow the driver to slip out of the head to help prevent over-tightening and damage to the thread or fastener.
- Self-drilling screws, a type of self-tapping screw, are threaded fasteners that drill their own hole and thread it as they are installed. Usually only recommended for use with metal, self-drilling screws are available with wings that enable use when fastening wood to metal. The drill point length should be long enough to penetrate both materials being fastened before the threading portion reaches the material. Flat head fasteners are designed to fit flush to the surface when used with countersunk holes. Length is measured from the top of the head. The Phillips drive style was originally designed so that the driver would slip out under extreme torque, preventing over-tightening and damage to the fastener or the material. Self-Drilling Points are excellent for use with sheet metal.
- These SCREWS are perfect to insert in any heavy or light products. They are designed with 410 grade stainless steel, so that drill tip become hard to insert any objects easily.
- Generally Self drilling screws reduces your efforts to screw in or minimized, these screws are Flat Head counter sunk so Flat head style allows fastener to sit flush to the surface. Steel finish also matches with many exterior or Interior Goods.
- 410 Grade stainless steel material highly protective alloy from corrosion.
