Pending Charges for Cancelled Orders
Pending Charges for Cancelled Orders
Sometimes when you cancel an order on Secretgreen.com.au, the value of the cancelled transaction may still temporarily appear on your card or bank account balance.
Why Do Pending Charges Appear?
When you place an order with us, we may communicate with your card-issuing bank to verify that your card details are valid. This is done through a full authorisation request for the amount of the purchase, but no funds are actually deducted unless the order is processed for shipment.
This authorisation is a standard security measure to protect our customers and prevent fraudulent transactions.
What Happens After You Cancel?
- If you cancel your order before it is charged, the payment authorisation remains visible until your bank releases it.
- Most banks release these pending authorisations within up to 7 business days automatically.
- If you would like the pending charge removed sooner, you will need to contact your bank directly to request an early release.
If You Were Already Charged
If your payment was already captured and the item was later cancelled:
- A full refund will be initiated to your original payment method.
- Refunds typically take up to 7 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank's processing times.
Important Notes
- Secretgreen does not have control over how long your bank takes to remove pending charges.
- Refunds will always be returned to the original card or payment method used at checkout.
- You can check your refund status by visiting Your Orders anytime.
