When Are Signatures Required for Delivery
When Are Signatures Required for Delivery?
At Secretgreen, some deliveries may require a signature based on the value, size, or type of item purchased. This ensures your orders are delivered securely and received by the correct person.
When Might a Signature Be Required?
- Oversized products such as large TVs, fitness equipment, or bulky garden tools.
- Large musical instruments including keyboards, pianos, and drum kits.
- High-value items such as premium electronics, rare collectibles, or luxury goods.
- Age-restricted items like alcohol, where ID verification will also be required at the time of delivery.
If your item requires a signature, you will see this information clearly displayed during the checkout process.
What If No One Is Available to Sign?
If Your Order Has Not Yet Shipped:
- You may update your shipping address via your Your Orders page to an address where someone can sign for the delivery.
- If your order is fulfilled by a third-party seller, use the "Contact Seller" option within your order details to request an address update. (Please note that changes are not guaranteed once the order has entered the dispatch process.)
If Your Order Has Already Shipped:
- Arrange for someone at the delivery address to sign on your behalf for non-age-restricted items.
- For age-restricted products, the person accepting delivery must meet the age requirement and present a valid ID.
- If no one is available, the courier will leave a "We Missed You" card with instructions to reschedule delivery or collect the parcel from a nearby pickup location.
- Deliveries that require signatures typically cannot be left unattended or redirected to Parcel Lockers after dispatch.
